The word is that Ryan Day will likely hop to the NFL in 2-4 years and Fickell is holding out for that.

He is making 3.5 million and they will probably get him to 6 million per year to stay. If he wins 7 games there it’s no big deal. If he wins 7 games here he is on the hot seat.

Anybody think he would take the Nebraska job of it opens? Might be harder to recruit there than it was before, but they still have a great fan base, and the school admin still cares about football.
