I like Franklin. I think he could do very well here. Question is can he do 2 nattys in 5 years well. This hire will have an opportunity to step into a Saban-less SEC within that time frame.

What about James Franklin from Penn St? He’s coached in the SEC and he would fill the minority hire req. He’s also a good coach.

I'll take Aranda OR Tucker and be happy all day long.
BOTH have been here and know what we're looking for. Neither will jump ship.

Mel Tucker is an excellent coach with ties to Saban and Jim Tressell. He'd be a great coach at LSU but MSU is paying him and his staff well and that job is a lower pressure job than LSU.

If Michigan State loses 3 of their final 5 games, Tucker’s record as a HC will be 16-15. That’s hardly a hire to get excited about.

Do you even Nick Saban, bro?

Byron Leftwich!! Already being talked about as an NFL coach. Checks the minority box.

Mel Tucker = 3-4 more years of 2020

Good coach. In the Big 10. This would be a blunder. Regret in 3 years.

I dont think so Shaft. Franklin would be supported.

Good. Franklin been on top of my list, go all in and don’t let him tell you no. It’s time we bring in a man of high character, he is that guy. His offense fits, he’s a top notch recruiter. I like #2 Aranda , #3 Shaw and #4 Tucker.
LSU can’t afford to bring in another scum bag good old boy. Leave Jimbo and Kiffen at their Sh!t hole schools.

I might keep an eye on Arizona St, alumni assistant coach or was an assistant coach and alumni son playing for them. I'd like to see him here.

100% and people putting this on just Tate hasn’t been keeping up with Woody and the two “hires” he made this year.

Black coaches aren't lining up for the LSU job
James Franklin is the only “elite” black coach in college football. There aren’t enough to form a line

I like Franklin too. If Tate is forcing Woodward to hire a black coach, then it should be Franklin. I don't understand the Tucker hype.

I know, Mel Tucker shouldn’t even be considered for this job, but alas, here we are. Race shouldn’t even be a factor, hire the best guy.
There is no arguement for Dave Aranda if Mel Tucker shouldn’t be considered.
