Interesting to see if McCarthey and Porter (assuming he gets Memphis) are replaced by more Miles style old white guys that can't recruit shite.

"More Miles OLD STYLE white guys."

So, you're saying that ONLY black coaches can recruit black high school athletes?

You want a staff full of incompetent "Used Car Salesmen" type young black guys (Like McCarthy) that can't technically field coach their way out of wet paper bags, but can BS and blow smoke up the asses of high school recruits and their parents with the best of them, huh?

So, when Crowton and/or Studrawa get the axe, you want them replaced with a black OC and OL coach because that's the only way we'll be able to recruit?........

Wasn't Yano in the process to get licensed to sell insurance before Miles offered him $155k to smoke briskets on Sundays?

the young black positional coaches are pretty key to recruiting, esp in the SEC

i dont think he was a great recruiter but he was probably our second best recruiter left. Interesting to see if McCarthey and Porter (assuming he gets Memphis) are replaced by more Miles style old white guys that can't recruit shite.

So, LSU should keep him for recruiting purposes even though he might suck as a coach? If Porter leaves and McCarthey gets the ax, Les needs to go out and get an experienced QB coach, since it's painfully obvious that "the wizard" doesn't have a clue how to develop a QB.

The only accurate thing in this thread is that McCarthy is probably leaving. The rest shows a complete lack of knowledge about the makeup of college football staffs.

McCarthy? He isn't being fired for on the field issues.

My point is that when you take the few coaching spots that don't require a great "coach" like TE and whatever the frick Joe Robinson does and put shitty recruiters there to go along with having 2 coordinators that don't recruit like we have then you are going to fall behind in recruiting with all the staffs loaded to recruit in the SEC right now. Les falling behind in recruiting + his gameday coaching accumen = oh shite.
