gumps are a joke. If nick had stayed at LSU we would have at least 5 championships. Gumps think they are so special, they are just lucky they got Saban.

You mean Alabama is only successful because of great coaching and recruiting?

But he didn't stay and we're winning more championships.

You do realize winning those is not a new development right?

As if y'all were trying to make Saban to Texas happen by sheer force of will. Come on.

On an lsu board......correct? I mean, this is an lsu fans board.

Jesus, what utter stupidity. Why the hell do you have pages for every team? I'm sorry...does it say LSU coaching changes? You want to only interact with LSU fans about coaching changes? Then do it on the Tiger Rant. Anyone with more brain cells than a turnip can figure it out.

They were in the midst of a 5 game losing streak to LSU before saban picked up the pieces. Considering the type of teams a very average coach put together in Baton Rouge the past decade, I think we all know how the LSU/bama series would have gone had Saban never rescued them.

I doubt they're here out of fear, we're not hiring anyone better than their coach. But there are a few amongst that very special group in t-town who aren't naive to the fact a good hire could make the West a little harder to win than when Les was there. So obviously there's going to be some interest.

There is a very large contingent of Alabama football fans that have lots of free time to spend on the internet. They spend all of that time reading about and posting about Alabama football. It's by far the hobby that they spend the most time pursuing. When you have the very best college football program that has ever existed*, you are going to have a contingent of fans that spend all of their free time thinking, reading, watching, talking and posting Alabama football.

I don't think very highly of people like that, because they aren't well-rounded people, but, they absolutely exist.

*Please LSU fans do not stalk me and abuse me for this simple comment. I know how sensitive most of you are whenever the topic of Bama football arises. Look, Bama was very lucky that Saban was available at that exact moment in time. They took that bit of luck, heaped a bunch of hard work and commitment on it and built an empire. Study the method, replicate the method, hope for a bit of luck and build your own empire.

Rome wasn't built in a day.*

*Not Jim Rome, but, rather the Roman Empire.
