The perfect candidate for Oregon is Ed Orgeron.

Kiffin to Oregon as HC

Wait, I though Kiffin is O's best friend and would do OC for him? If K goes our O fb dynasty would be doomed.

Also, Mullen would be a home run hire.

You guys are trying to ruin LSU and water down the Pac12

Nobody else thinks that. He would have been hired away after the #1 ranking year if that was the case.

Sounds like you don't know football. I'm sure Mullen has had opportunities to leave but why leave a job paying millions and all you have to do is win 7-9 games a year and you have a lifetime gig?

Fine you're right, Mullen is one of the best coaches in the country. He chooses to stay in Starkville due to only having to make a bowl game and they love him.

I honestly think that's ridiculous. Just 2 years ago he was in the national championship. A bad year will happen to just about any coach not named Nick Saban, so I think that was stupid.

It's actually been very good for them for a long time. It simply ran its course now.

True. Mike Bellotti was a hire from within. So was Chip Kelly.

He's gone Tues. Speculation is Patterson and Gundy. People are wondering if Phil Knight was meeting with Schiano today.

If/when Holgorsen gets his 10th win next week--look for interest from Nike U, Houston etc. Dana is sans contract.

He's well-paid at WVU, but they're fittin' to be leveraged like a mofo.

Jeff Brohm would be the best candidate for the Oregon job imo. Great offensive mind and ready for that next step.

Is Mullens bad?

He's the most underrated coach in the SEC (maybe in all of college football).

Is he Saban? No, but he is a really good coach. He does have the "hiring his friends" issue though that has honestly kept him from taking Moo State to a much higher level.

I agree with that. The problem for Helfrich is his players have quit on him. Contrast that with a team like MSU, also having a rough year but those kids are still battling.
