Ensminger doesn't bother me that much; issue is QB coach

I'm fine with adding Ensminger to staff if they can go out and hire an elite qb coaching talent. Go hire Joe Lombardi to staff. Get someone to develop guys on our roster. That is the glaring issue with our team the past decade. Ensminger can call plays just fine and we played well with him during a stretch last year.

What an Ensminger hire does is highlight the fact that Orgeron lied his arse off to get the job and now he's doing what he wants. There's no way you're going to convince anyone that after his "hire the best coordinators" rant, they looked at every option out there and came to the conclusion that E was the best choice.
This would stink of Orgeron brow beating Alleva to death about it, and/or "we just spent a ton of money on our DC, let's go cheap".

I think O wants briles or freeze. I think the admin wants him to go a different direction. We’ll see what happens, but if Ensminger was the first choice they wouldn’t even have a search.
