He's a great recruiter but in no way should he be our OC. Position coach maybe but not OC

Agreed. I think Orgeron wants to couple Gran's run game expertise with Ensminger's pass game expertise, which is fine.

They are both respected coaches and probably a better fit on Orgeron's staff than Canada.

Gran brings spread concepts; Ensmiger brings pro concepts. At the end of the day, maybe they really are more than the sum of the parts.

It's Orgeron's call, but these are not elite coaches, by any definition, so the likelihood of an elite outcome or product is remote, at best.

All we can do is hope for the best.

Yes, lets most definitely go back to the days of 2008 and the unleashing of the Mallveto Monster.

How about Co-OC's in 2018 with Ensminger and Gran.

Who calls the plays and is ultimately in charge?

Co-Anything is usually a disaster.

Maybe bring Gran in to coach Wide Receivers.

I'm sure the LSU WR's would love to have somebody in here to that can actually coach and develop their talents.....

Right, wouldn't be my choice, but it may be the way Orgeron chooses to go. God help him.
