Doug Mallory?

If Doug Mallory is promoted to DC, does anyone know what kind of defense he wants to bring? I've seen on lsusports.net his bio but really no clue as to what he would do.

not sure how he'd perform (which is not a good thing). but, i think that lsu would get laughed at for not getting a big name DC.
I for one, would rather Les worry about the MNC then worry about a coach. if Tenuta isn't available then, so be it. the MNC is more important than any one coach would be.

IDK, he's from a family of DB coaches, was a DC for a year, coached in the NFL. The only thing that worries me is that he hasn't worked for widely known defensive coaches. In Miles we trust, right?

I'm certain Les isn't gonna lose focus. And yeah, I would like a DC with experience. LSU has reached a level that we shouldn't have to experiment with an unknown. Hopefully Les will make the best choice.

Mallory has never coached in the NFL, to my knowledge and he was a d-coordinator for 2 years at Western Kentucky.

I don't think it is Mallory. If so, why not go ahead and announce it?

You're right. I just read the official bio. I thought that I had read somewhere that Mallory went to OK State with Miles from the Cowboys.
