More access to defensive talent? Why? Oklahoma recruits nationwide as well as anybody. They still recruit well in Texas, a state with more defensive talent than Louisiana. His defenses at Oklahoma have stunk, even after all the time he's been there. That won't magically change because he coaches at LSU, as evidenced by LSU'S last two defenses.
Mike Leach hasn't changed since he got to Starkville, Kiffin hasn't changed since he got to Oxford, Mullen hasn't changed since going to Florida. Being at LSU wouldn't change Riley or his lack of defense.

He would get better defensive recruits as a whole.

Compare the two in the NFL. Especially on the defensive side.
