Holmgren and Gruden teamed up for the first time when Gruden became a 49ers assistant in 1990. Two years later, when Holmgren left for Green Bay, he took Gruden with him as receivers coach.

Gruden is from Ohio, grew up a Browns fan, and apparently likes Colt McCoy.

No one with multiple options would choose to live in Cleveland.

I dont understand that line of thinking. They have luxury homes in Cleveland. Is he going to take his talents to South Beach so he can go clubbing with LeBron?

He's going to be spending his time in the office anyway, he will keep his country club home in Tampa. If the money is right, and the situation is right, he's not going to take the job because Cleveland isn't a resort?

I think Denver actually makes a whole lot more sense.

The owner fires a two time winning super bowl champion coach only to hire a 35 year who he promptly fires in a year and half.

Hiring a super bowl winning coach would be a good way to appease the fanbase.

Everyone knows Gruden loves to stockpile QBs. He'd have 3 at his disposal in Denver. Orton, Tebow and Quinn.

Some decent playmakers around the Position as well on offense.

Gruden is not that good of a coach. If he was that good he would be coaching right now.

+1. Very overrated. 48-61 after winning the SB in Tampa. No one in Tampa liked him at all, everyone wished Dungy had never been fired.

Yea but you can say Callahan won with Grudens players in Oakland, then Gruden beat Callahan in the Superbowl.
