I think he has rehabbed his image pretty well with how well his USF team has played this season plus Herman hasn't immediately turned things around at Texas. So would anyone take him?

kind of easy to do when he inherited a, relatively, loaded roster

He failed at one of the most coveted jobs in the country so I don't think he has repaired his image enough to coach a major program.

im sure he'll get some phone calls. doubt he gets hired until he proves himself more.

UTx is a fricking dumpster fire.

Herman isnt gonna change that just by kissing his players

I would want to see him sustain somewhere for a couple seasons before I took a chance on him. He's been pretty lucky taking over for well oiled smaller schools

He inherited a championship team from Willie Taggart. Let's pump the brakes a bit.

Plus he needs to milk the t.u. buyout money before he leaves for another job.

UT is mess for many reasons. Strong did really well at Louisville though. He's a better head coach than most.

I think the level he is at now is the perfect fit for him

Still needs to do more time in hell. Also, mid-major may be as good as it gets for him. He definitely showed he couldn't handle a 1-A level program.

I like Charlie and I think he’s a good coach and that Texas screwed up. But I also noticed that he took a loaded team at USF and kind of underachieved slightly with it. They never seemed to play to their potential until they met UCF and even then, they found a way to lose. It’s hard to fault a 11-1 record but they didn’t roll through their opponents like they were supposed to. I need to see more before I proclaim Charlie rehabbed.

10-2. They lost to Houston and UCF.

Agreed.

People have just assumed that USF was a great team this year because of their record, but they really haven't played all that well. In the games I watched, they were sort of "blah," and Flowers didn't seem to live up to his hype as well.

If hold of on judging Strong on this team alone, since Taggart probably would have them 11-1 or 12-0.

His buyout is insanely low. Sub 200k.

He had a great college QB this year, just like he had for much of his time at Louisville.

He will go back to Louisville when Petrino goes to Auburn.
