I saw that he was going to interview but never saw an actual date like we are seeing with Kragthorpe.
Fuente would be my #1 choice with Kraghthorpe coming in second on the list that is out there. I hope we don't promote Gonzales, I know everyone deserves a first shot but I hate to think of LSU as a "teething ring" for unproven coaches. I'd like to see Fuente or Kragthorpe come in as established OC's with established systems under their belts. If BG is promoted, what do we know about "his" offense? LSU has a lot of talent coming in & has wasted a lot of talent over the last 3 years with a sub par OC, I just would like to see someone come in & mesh with Coach Miles & get the offense off & running.

The only "evidence" I've got to support him actually coming for an interview is that on the day he was supposed visit, a private plane flew from BTR to DAL then flew back. This happened noon-ish to early afternoon. The next day the plane made the same round trip. I didn't post it because we'd been doing enough aircraft cyber-stalking already. Also, the plane was a single-engine Beech Bonanza and I wasn't sure that LSU would send a plane that small to pick up a coaching candidate.

The only things that do matter are those that others take matter with. Since you replied, that would be considered taking the post to matter. So in essence, you have failed at your weak & feeble attempt to discredit my opinion & post by making it matter enough to you to reply to it.

From Jim Kleinpeter of the Times Picayune this morning...
So that does not sound too promising for Fuente...perhaps they wanted to speak to him about QB pos only?

Meanwhile, TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente told the Dallas Morning News on Monday he hasn't spoken with LSU about the job. Sources said Fuente and former Tulane assistant Frank Scelfo, now at Arizona, had preliminary talks with LSU but aren't being considered for the job.

Considering what he's got going for him at tcu, maybe he just didn't want to leave. Lots of rumors swirling about patterson leaving for open HC jobs the last couple of years, he may think he has a shot at landing the tcu job if patterson leaves. He puts up solid numbers & seems to be well respected, would have liked to see what he could do with the SEC talent LSU brings in year after year. If he was only being considered for the qb coaches position, I can't blame him for staying.
