This is a solid job, if they hire somebody with any sort of coaching prowess they should be a good team next year

I don't understand why people think this is a good job.. Yes at the moment they have a good roster but they will not overtake the Packers or Bears with it. Forever mediocre.

Neither the Packers nor the Bears are some sort of juggernaut that cannot be defeated going forward. The Lions swept the Bears, so that's not even an issue at this point.

I'm just saying that Houston and probably the Redskins going forward are better coaching jobs as Houston is the most talented team in their division and the Redskins proved they could win last season while Detroit has not proven anything and must compete with the Bears and Packers, both who have more talented rosters.

It is not a given that the Bears or the Packers have a more "talented" roster from top-to-bottom than Detroit. Certainly not the Bears and Rodgers is the big difference for GB.

Well, you haven't added anything of substance to the discussion and it's not like claiming the Lions having a competitive, playoff-caliber roster as constructed is much of a stretch...and to act like there is some major gap in talent between the teams is hilarious.
