Vance Joseph left Denver without a deal in place, and is scheduled to meet with other teams to interview for a head coaching position.

To me, it sounds like Denver let him walk (even though he was the supposed favorite), and are waiting on Kyle Shanahan.

Agreed. If it is Kyle, someone of his age would be insane not to keep Wade. I'll be livid if they let @sonofbum walk.

Agreed.

How could you let a coach of that caliber leave, especially knowing basically the same defense will be back in 2017? He knows the personnel groupings better than anyone and Denver has had arguably the top defense for 2 straight years.

Wade Phillips is incredible, and if they let him walk, it'd be terrible for him to end up in Oakland or New England.

Well, so much for Kyle Shannahan. Looks like they're about to offer Joseph. I would have preferred Shannahan and Phillips combo personally.

If Vance keeps Wade, I'm fine with it, but very skeptical.

NFL and politics are about the only careers where you can be absolutely mediocre and get promotions and more money.
