JDR was just interviewed on Mike and Mike, discussing among other things, the upcoming game against the Colts. No mention was made of any rumors here.

It was a good interview, and he would be a great coach to have here, but he's having a great season there and if the Jags win this Sunday, they are probably going to win the division.

One thing we continue to see with rumors is that they are started by coaches agents, as it helps them get their clients fat new contracts. I'm sure JDR has interest in LSU, we've built a tremendous program, but so has Del Rio in Jaksonville, with a hot young QB and RB, and a great defense. He's set himself up for superbowl runs the next few years....

Why would he come here now?

Really? Superbowl runs? By superbowl run you mean like a benefit run for some organization right. Superbowl teams do not " if the Jags win this Sunday, they are probably going to win the division".

With that said I do like him and it would be great to have him as our coach!

Jags have to face colts and pats every year--

The Jags are 8-3, they are a young football team, with rising stars at key positions. I didn't say they were a superbowl contender this year!
I said he has set himself up for super bowl runs. The Jags have a good enough team to make it to the championship game against the Pats, granted they will lose. (I have to ask how many people took the Eagles and the points last week)

All I was pointing out was that his agent is likely letting these rumors fly, because if he makes a good run this year, it will help him get more $$$$ in Jacksonville.

If that were a reason to leave a team, I wouldn't want him as my coach.

LSU is a great job but come'on... 90% of names to be the next coach at LSU I ask this same question; of course "now" being the key word in the question.

didn't anybody get tired of your head coach being asked questions every year about whether or not he heads back to the nfl with saban???? isn't there anyone else worried about how that MAY affect recruiting??? don't you think recruits and their parents want assurance the coach will be at that program longer than the recruit???? am i the only one?

does anyone else think Lombardi wants to go through this with a new AD in 3-5 years?

what makes anyone think del rio is high on their list?......other than what your inside source told you
