Calling yourself the ELF league is a real unforced error

ELF is/was a big French petroleum company. Could be a sponsor tie-in.

And to think, he was one of the names mentioned to replace Nick Saban. Not sure whether it's urban legend or not, but supposedly Bertman and at least one other LSU official knocked repeatedly on Del Rio's front door, but he refused to answer. Regardless if true or not, we all know LSU moved on to Les Miles.

Skip confirmed he, O'Keefe, and others were at a restaurant in Daytona for the interview, and Del Rio showed up, but never got out of his car, and eventually drove away. Skip said he could see Del Rio on the phone, presumably with his agent.

Apparently the Jaguars' owner had not granted permission for the interview, so Del Rio would've breached his contract had he gone inside.
