He's a clown because he's doing it in public like a recruit picking schools.

It's completely unprofessional and shows a lack of impulse control. No one should know who he is interviewing with or offered by, at least not coming from him.

When, in the history of college football, have you ever heard a coach say "I've got offers from these three schools. I'm picking one of them on Sunday"

It puts the schools and the athletic directors in a bad spot.

I actually don't believe he has offers from all three of those schools.

Or it could put the spotlight on him which in turn can help with recruiting. Just because your arse cant think outside the box doesnt make what Deion is doing wrong.

WTF is that supposed to mean?

There are plenty of black coaches that are professional and there are plenty of white coaches that are clowns.

Is any criticism of Deion automatically racist?

Are you a race baiter or incapable of understanding the context of that statement?

I thought he was bringing back HBCUs? Everything he did will be gone within a year after leaving. Guess this was all about Deion and not HBCUs.

No because he is lying to little kids that it’s all about HBCU. There is nothing wrong about doing what’s best for you. He lied and made a big show about HBCU

Why do we believe USF and Cincinnati actually want him or that he’s been offered to make a decision like that by Sunday? USF is going after Chadwell and Hartline is currently interviewing for the Cincinnati job

Actually, no he didn’t. He got his son and another blue chip to campus and Game Day came there. Congrats I guess?

Other than that what has he done that’s “a different way”? If he really wants to do things a different way he’ll sack up and start showing he’s changing things at HBCUs and start showing they’re more than The Celebration Bowl and start trying to win an FCS natty. Until he does that all he’s shown me is that he can get enough good recruits to campus to beat up on the SWAC and other HBCUs. Big whoop.

Imagine selling your program to recruits. The horror.

No he made a big show about his program. He's criticized other HBCUs to step their games up.

Are they not undefeated? Do they not lead the conference in graduation rate? Has he not gotten the foot facilities upgraded? There are even talks of possibly getting a new football stadium. But hey, I guess he hasn't done anything.

So it's fine when Nick Saban out talents teams but its an issue when Deion does it. Ok dude.

General reply, not particularly to the OP. Who wants to be where it gets cold as hell in the winter? Ice, snow, and the like. USF. It isn’t that hard.

Grambling did the same thing in the SWAC and HBCU/FCS regular season schedule plus the SWAC title game 2 years in a row under Broderick Fobbs in 2016 and 2017. In ‘16 they won the Celebration Bowl; lost it in 2017. Those 2 years their only regular season losses were against Arizona and Tulane. So not doing things different at HBCUs, just doing things different than they have been at Jackson State.

Not sure about this. I’ll have to take your word for it. ETA-but that being said if they have the highest graduation rate now then that means someone else had the highest graduation rate before. So, again, that's not doing things different at HBCUs that's doing things different at Jackson State.

So so far other than the rumor of getting a new stadium, which again is just a rumor as you say he hasn't done anything different at JSU that other HBCUs haven't done before. So again if he really wants to show that you can do things different at an HBCU he'll start competing in the playoffs putting an HBCU in the national title picture and give it some real spotlight and let the whole world of FCS football know that it's arrived.

quote:

So it's fine when Nick Saban out talents teams but its an issue when Deion does it. Ok dude.

Show me where Nick Saban shies away from the CFP in favor of a meaningless bowl game, dude. Also, where did I say it was an issue? I just said that isn’t doing things different.
