DC candidates

Honestly everyone has their favorites. I think if we get a guy from this list we will be set. Obviously some are very unlikely but here’s my shot.
Freeman, Elko, Schumann/Lanning, Knowles, Parker, Lake, Odom, Coombs and Leonhard.
Obviously Freeman, Elko and Leonhard would be very hard to pull but at this point for differing reasons. That being said, I wouldn’t put anything past Woody and Kelly.
The future is very bright for this Tiger team and I can’t wait for next season already.

I hear you. I’d be willing to give him an interview, that’s for sure. But if a guy like Freeman or Elko want to join Kelly in BR, you can’t turn that down.

It’s so nice to be able to know that the head coach is the big chip and not the coordinators. The expectation is that Kelly will hire someone competent and we all don’t have to worry about it as much.

Jesus you guys are ignorant and love mediocrity. Has Jones shown the capability of adjusting a scheme all season when he's out schemed? Not once has he shown it hell TAMU even came back and almost won a game we were dominating in the first half. He makes no adjustments in the games. It's either it works or it doesn't. He played offenses that weren't that great the second half of the season and the ones that were good, like Ole Miss, embarrassed him.
We're paying him elite DC money and he's average at best. LSU is willing to make someone the top paid DC in NCAA and you want fricking Jones?

can't disagree with that one bit. I think it's possible to win with the right combination of coaching it just seems easier to do that with your best and brightest in the head spot. that's how every other corporation (except for the United States itself) does it.
