Hopefully, this coaching search isn't just a "Herman/Jimbo or bust type operation. That's how you end up leaving yourself with limited options.
There are guys besides those two that can do damage here. I'd be gauging interest from as many coaches as possible from all across the country. frick putting all your eggs in one basket. Interview all good candidates, then make a decision.

Hell, even if you did just that, you'd know Jones was 1-11 his last season winning his last game. Chad won 2 games his first year and 5 games into this season, already has matched that.

He doesn't have the qualifications any big time program is looking for.
Morris will have to make another stop a level above SMU before the big boys give him an interview
It just is what it is. Bama or LSU or any program on the same level aren't handing over the keys to an SMU coach.
