I have no idea why people dislike him. Was he let go from Florida for failing to achieve what they desired? Yes. How did that work out? Look at what he had Mississippi state doing. He had them at number one after they marched into Death Valley and destroyed lsu. They routinely had great defensive line play too.

Mullen is not a bad coach, and a lot of these openings will end up doing a lot worse.

Yes.
His big knock is as a recruiter, LSU is the only show in town for LA kids so that wouldnt be an issue.
