Hell yes. Do it, take the PR hit, throw a lot of money at Brian Kelly and move on.

My guess is Crowton is gone, but either way I think our offense will be much improved in 2010 regardless of who the OC is.

wanted to add...if miles and staff are fired next year, it would take an absolute walk-off grand slam hire to salvage what's left of the class.

they are letting the PR and politics control this issue, and that's a shame.

I honestly don't see a PR hit at all.
I don't think anyone would think less of LSU if they fired him. If anythign they would ask why it took so long.
Everyone knows the guy is in over his head.

absolutely let go...i'm saying the AD has to be a person that makes the tough decisions...if he can't, he's useless

Agreed. I think it's time to part ways, but I hope the best for Miles.

I don't know why people take this so personally.

Honestly, I view this the same way as you do a corporation's CEO and BOD. If they don't produce, they're gone. Plain and simple. Especially if they have the tools to produce and there is someone else out there that can produce.

Talk of firing Miles after the 2009 season is silly. Sorry if yall don't see that, but it is.

He should be shown the door. But, if he was going, he should have been gone by now. I don't get it.

we are the shareholders, and we are screaming for a new CEO.

the stock PPS has plummeted from a 52 week high, and is now at dangerously low levels.

I would have fired him a few games into 2005 if I had my way. Coaching contracts should have some sort of 90 day review period.

Yep. Peopel don't see it that way though. They are blinded by politics and PR.

Who knows ... but his coaching history leads me to believe that yes, he will be here in 2 years. Only 2 other schools have more SEC wins than Miles since 2005.

Nonetheless, none of that even matters, because IMO it's a pointless discussion. He's not getting fired, nor does he deserve to be fired ... YET.

Obviously, I reserve the right to change my mind after the 2010 season.

i guess we deserve more underachieving seasons of watching bama and florida dominate, and us taking the backseat to them.

Deserve? This isn't about deserving it. It's about him producing for LSU and earnign the position.

And his history shows that the future doesn't look bright.

Question for you. Please be objective.

If you were a stockholder, would you invest in "LSU" under Miles or would your money go elsewhere?

The problem is that people aren't seeing immediate effects liek you would in a typical corporation. If they did have more immediate effects, Miles would have been gone. People are just trying to nip this in the butt.
