Well this has proven to be a really bad hire, a lot of people including myself were optimistic about the basketball program but it’s sunk to levels lower than it has been in a long time. Losing to SWAC teams and the southland.

They play in a POS tiny arena and hired a has-been to be their coach.

Tulane football is having some modicum of "success" because they hired a younger, hungry coach, and they have (for their level) some nice facilities.

Basketball is currently an after thought at Tulane.

True on both accounts

Tulane is one of the worst football programs of all time, I think Willie Fritz has done an incredible job turning them around. The basketball program was never that level of bad. At least were about average for a division 1 team.

Probably so. They should at least try though. Hire a younger hungrier coach like you said

I'll have to disagree on the facilities end. They recently built an indoor practice facility and Fogelman was renovated a few years ago

He should. He sucks as a collegiate coach. I hate Bobby Big Fish, but Dunleavy just isn’t a good fit for Tulane.

Fogelman is an amazing place to watch a game if the teams are any good because it's so small. I remember Honeycutt's last home game they beat a ranked Louisville pn a CBS game and it was packed to the rafters. Problem is all that left that day with Cutt, Rayshard Allen, Corey Childs, and Chris Cameron.
They're playing SMU on ESPN2 right now and it looks like a couple hundred on hand.

Would be really neat to have a good basketball team uptown. Feel like the school and its northeastern student body along with uptown nola residents could really get behind it. Not sure how to do it without cheating though.

Fogelman is a pile of shite worthy of an NAIA school and it always will be, no matter what renovations they do to it.
