Not familiar with how coach contracts work, but what would need to be done for that to happen?
miss State would have to buyout the rest of his contact with ULL?

That ship has sailed. No one wants Hud, hell even the city of Lafayette doesn’t want Hud

He's barely hanging on at ULL, I'm sure Miss State is dying to hire him and on top of that pay a buyout.

Hoping to pawn Hud off on Mississippi State. Thats not how this works.

3-4 years ago he’d probably be their guy. His next stop may be Delta state.

I think if he actually had talented players, he would be successful

I would be successful with talented players, too. The fact is, Hud missed his chance to jump ship 3-4 years ago when he was a hot name. I don’t know if he was waiting for the MSU job, but he should’ve cashed in back then.

Part of his job is to get those talented players in order to be successful.
It appears the longer Hud is in Lafayette, the less talented his teams are getting. It should be the other way around, given the $$ they have spent to improve the football program.

It would be a major adjustment to HUD. He’d have to wait an extra day on that Mexico Steroid delivery. That could really disrupt his cycle.

He's the "mystery candidate" for the Tennessee job.

Hud isn't getting fired this year?
Posted on 11/27/17 at 1:03 pm to OneMoreTime
If not for the sun belt's addition of division two schools, Hud might have 12 wins total from 2015-2017. He has not been able to recover from Bustle's recruits and his own first class moving on

Hudspeth resume isn't good enough for Miss St IMO.
