the QBs at:

Miss St
A&M
Ole Miss
Florida
Tenn
Kentucky
Mizzou

all have more rush attempts than Auburn QBs have.

thoughts?

Oregon, Ole Miss, Ohio State, and Clanga all run the same base offense. im assuming Houston does as well but ive never actually watched them. you can do a lot from the run spread.

In 2011, Derron Thomas ran the ball 20 times less than Jordon Jefferson did. And Jefferson played like half the year. I think you are overselling how integral a running QB is to Chip's offense. And I would imagine Oregon ran probably 1.5 times as many plays as LSU per game that year.

I understand what you are getting at. Still, I said the QB in the spread option has to be a legit THREAT to run. Not just to run, but to make big plays when he does. Thomas and Mariotta both fit that dual-threat mold to a tee. So did Tebow and Newton. A spread option offense is at its best when you have that dynamic guy back there.

It seems sketchy at best, but it's the only thing I can cling to at this point. He's saying they're trying to quiet the shite storm and speculation around this so we can get through the weekend. I don't know, it seems like a stretch, but I guess possible.

Did something come out about Jimbo not going to LSU? Everyone seems to be freaking out.

This was always a ploy by Sexton to get more money.

Why would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU to come to LSU? This was the worst kind of psychological warfare by Jimmy Sexton.

Sure, it's great to have, but I don't think it is essential for Kelly or he can't adapt. He had top offenses in the NFL with Nick Foles after all. The same guy that was just benched for Case Keenum by the Rams.

Yeah man. He nabbed one of the secretaries in a fit of rage. They had to break out the tasers and pepper spray.
