Texas can easily throw in $10 mil per year with the added possibility of buying off all his bad debt.
The debt part is what is making his mind up as we speak

But, what they cannot offer is working at what is the epitome of college football. Working at a job that is greater than an NFL position, and at a job that is the most successful in the history of the sport, and one that has had the best coaches to ever coach the game and have his name among them.

There is a thread on the first page that Finebaum says Saban has the contract on his desk.

Sexton playing bama like a fiddle.
Sexton knows he only has a one maybe two more big pay days leeching off Saban (62 years old). Damn right he is going to do work.

Could be. Could be another one or two after that.

at what point does Nick price himself so high that it hurts Bama elsewhere?
You actually think he gives a frick? He'll get as much as he wants and you will shut your whore mouth and bow down to the process.

7 mil range that's it
Who is to say that the 7 mil is just the public figure and there isn't on the side compensation making it closer to say 10 mil a year. 7 or 8 mil is about all a school can stomach from a PR standpoint but if the means are there to pay someone 10 or more mil a year I could see the extra compensation being on the side. Everyone talks about side money with Texas and they have tons of it but I'm sure Alabama is capable of paying him a pretty good chunk on the side as well. Just something to consider.
