According to Josh Parrott's blog --
quote:
Mississippi State receivers coach/passing game coordinator Mark Hudspeth interviewed for UL's vacant head coaching position last weekend while visiting campus, a source close to him told The Daily Advertiser on Thursday.
The source said that Hudspeth had yet to receive an offer - official or tentative - to coach the Ragin' Cajuns, but that one could come as soon as Friday.

Outside of LSU only Tulane and Tech have had coaches move on to bigger and better jobs.
The good thing about the ULL job is that they are already at the bottom so expectations are also low.

Who is ours? People Born and raised in Sicily Island, La. Moved to Monroe for college, and now live and work in Thibodaux? Are you one of those fans who says "us" when referring to LSU? You didn't even go there.

You aren't UL. You have to be a relevant program and school for that matter to earn that name. ULL is not.
Why all the hate? He is just a fan of another school. If you are a LSU fan, why are they even on your radar? I'm an LSU alum and fan, but I appreciate the updates on their coaching search. If you don't, then don't be a douche and don't read it.

Mississippi State receivers coach Mark Hudspeth will not interview for he recent job opening at Louisiana-Lafayette. Hudspeth “I am not a candidate and I’m full-speed ahead here,” Hudspeth told The Clarion-Ledger on Monday. Rickey Bustle coached his final game atULL on Saturday, and the school announced today that he would not return for the final year of his contract. Joshua Parrott of The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette, La., reported on his blog that, as of Sunday night, Hudspeth was one of three candidates expected to interview for the job, according to multiple sources. “I’m where I want to be,” Hudspeth said Monday. “Not to say one day down the road a position somewhere wouldn’t interest me, but I’m happy where I’m at. Recruiting is going great.” Hudspeth was the coach at North Alabama for seven years before joining Dan Mullen‘s staff last year.
funny how everyone outside of Laffy refers to it as ULL job.

I have been told that Viator has been offered the job.
Pretty good hire for the Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns - IMHO

Ugh....not Viator.
Nothing against the guy, but this exactly the type of hire everyone expects UL to make. I don't see anything special with him.
Either Hudspeth or Sewak (triple option offense) gets my vote.
The more I think of running the triple option in the sunbelt, the more i'm intrigued. UL would be the only team doing it.

This. Smaller O-line required, so you are not competing for big boy linemen. Difficult to prepare for in a single week. Offense that eats clock, keeping Defense off of the field. It's the smart play, IMHO.

I've heard Hudspeth toured the campus Wednesday night and an offer could come around noon today.
