As hard as it was to fire Les it was the right call. Then replacing him with Ed baffles me.

Yeah, funny you say that, but, after Gentleman Joe's thorough and nation-wide search for the BEST available football coach, turns out that Ed Orgeron is the Best available coach in the entire USA.
Well, he was the best available coach nation-wide that wanted the job. None of the other available coaches wanted the LSU job. The Mount Union Div III head coach apparently didn't want the LSU job.
So, Coach O is the ONLY available coach that wanted the job. Life can be funny.
