But I cannot remember a season where a job that was not currently available has been talked about so much.

Texas has a HC but for months, ppl have been talking about Browns replacement. If Texas beats Baylor they tie for 1st in the Big 12(lose the tie breaker to OSU).

True, but they win the Big 12 outright if they beat Baylor and OSU loses to OU. Granted, that's a lot of ifs, but they can still win the Big 12.

It's the Big12...Texas should be 12-0 every year. They sure shouldn't be scrapping against Baylor for a share of the conference title...

Money, recruiting base, location, prestige, etc. I think it's easily the best job in college football.

Pressure, expectations, boosters, TAMU in the SEC, coaches obligations to the longhorn network, etc.

I think it's a top job in CFB but I don't think it's easy to claim one program is above other top programs. I would probably put them more in tiers than individual rankings.

this. USC and tOSU are the only other 2 really in the discussion.

Texas should be winning 10 plus games a year at least.
