my wish is for LSU to find the right coach for the next decade. Rank the Available Coaches in Order for EACH category. At the end of the thread, I will compile the rankings, for each and give a cumulative analysis devoid of any speculation.

For EACH category, give me your top 5 in order. i will assign 5 points to the 1st place, 4 to the 2nd, etc. Feel free to write-in a name into the rankings. I will adjust accordingly. Thus far, I will only include coaches we know LSU is talking to.

1) RECRUITING - who has the best plan to secure louisiana and make inroads to texas and florida the way miles did? Who has the ability to connect with young players and their parents? Who will want to make players believe in a new system and come to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to play football?

2) SCHEME/PERSONNEL - who seems to be the best at adapting and educating players and their skills to their scheme and most importantly, vice versa? we've seen how quickly a coach like Aranda has been able to get people to buy in and learn something quickly. have they succeeded because of a plethora of talent or on the backs of a once in a generation superstar or has it been plug and play?

3) GAMEDAY - who is going to bring the execution and X and O's on gameday? who will we feel confident will make the one or two adjustments at halftime and in crunch time that are often the difference between wins and losses in the SEC? Who do you want playing chess with Saban?

4) DRIVE/AMBITION - who is working the hardest? who seems to be relentless? who has the most to prove? has their been a drop off after their peak? does their peak seem yet to come? Do they want to coach in the NFL? Does this seem to be their dream job? Another school?

5) RESUME' - have they won? have they won in a difficult league? who have they beat? championships?

6) CEO - lastly who will be great as the most visible ambassador for LSU on a national stage (aside from Shaquille O'Neal) and able to represent the school and state on the national level? Who won't do something like allow a rape scandal or get our school put on probation?
