Coaches who view LSU as a DREAM job

There has been a lot of discussion on here about who we as LSU fans would want as coach in the event Les Miles leaves for his 'dream' job. What I would like to know is who are some coaches you guys think are out there watching closely on how this saga play out.
I'm not asking who you guys would want as coach; but who will be chomping at the bit and would leap at the chance to become LSU Coach.
I know there is a bunch of mid tier Coaches who would love the opportunity to head a major top 10 job in the country...but I wonder about which of the current AQ head coaches, AQ coordinators, or even NFL coaches would want the LSU job over their current one.
I for one think Tuberville will walk from Lubbock to BR if he was to get a call

I would say any coach whose spent significant time in the SEC, or Texas, lived in the Southern part of the United States, or time at LSU as an assistant probably views LSU as one of the top jobs in the country, and a unique one at that considering the talent and following LSU has in Louisiana. Someone like Meyer whose coached at Florida may not call LSU a dream job, but he'd tell an assistant or protege that it was one of the top jobs in the country.
I'd also say that any ambitious college coach who hasn't "made" it yet would view LSU as a dream job. The last two coaches here have won national championships here, and everything is in place for a 3rd coach to do so as well.

the question is what is the intersection of the sets "Coaches how consider LSU a dream job" and "Coaches LSU fans consider dream coaches"

Yeah - the idea that Patterson would leave TCU for LSU is kinda' funny to me. Fans act like LSU is THE great place for coaches. It's great if you're not established and you're trying to prove something - but for a well established coach (whose team is currently ranked ahead of the Tigers) it's not all that.

I feel pretty confident in saying that most folks on here talking about all these coaches coming here don't take into account that these coaches and their assistants have families and may not want to uproot families and cause a bunch of upheaval. And they could just be happy where they are at.

yep not to mention that they like the area where they are at. (west coast guy won't want to go to lsu most likely, etc)

The only reason Patterson would leave TCU for LSU is a much better chance of winning a national championship.

Ok, so TCU is ranked ahead of our beloved Tigers for what? 1 Season!! What does that prove? NOTHING!
What do you think LSU's record would be if they played 1 ranked team versus 6?
TCU= 2nd tier BCS (excellent team this year)
LSU=Elite program in the best conference in the country. (every year)
Now, with that said, the SEC is a meat grinder, and some coaches would rather not put themselves thru the pressure cooker that the LSU job is now days...

I think a coach would jump at the chance to come here with all the talent here and coming in. It is just like florida. The cupboard is full. Michigan will take 2-3 years just to overhaul the offense and who knows about the defense. Miles has his dream job right here!

most here think with their LSU hearts and forget that this is a JOB...may be a very good job, but still a JOB.
MONEY is not the only motivator for accepting a job...although money usually is THE motivator for young people.
Most people accepting ANY job, usually see it as a place from which they can derive benefits ...
now, some, once in job, will find total satisfaction and want to stay forever "i.e. JoPa", others will see POTENTIAL in other places..."i.e. Nick Saban"..neither is wrong.
BUT at the time of acceptance, SELDOM is "any" JOB seen as a Final Destination.

i dont think patterson is as far fetched as yall all do. at the end of the day, LSU >>> TCU as a job. and 99% of coaches will never be "content" with something they have b/c its easier and safe. some of these guys have the biggest egos on the planet- and thats not always a bad thing.

I agree that all coaches would like to win an NC..
but you are assuming that their one and only motivation in the JOB is the NC.....
..which is likely not true.
