Coaches who are mostly good because of generational talent at the qb position.

Jimbo Fisher - Jamies Winston ?
Gene Chizik- Cam Newton?
Curley Hellman - Brett Favre ?
Ed Orgeron - Joe Burrow ?
Lane Kiffin - Matt Corral ?
I think the jury is still out on Kiffin, but Ole Miss is probably a 4-4 SEC team at best without Corral.
Fisher has to be a huge disappointment in Aggieland. He has a team loaded with talent and works in a program with almost unlimited resources and still loses 4 of 8 in the SEC.
The biggest feather in Woodward’s cal was getting Fisher, but is it fair to say Alleva could have gotten Fisher if the board gave him 100 mil to pay?
Perhaps more importantly, and trying to be objective, is it fair to say Woodward’s biggest hire, Fisher, is a fail hire at A&M. You don’t pay a coach 100 mil to lose to Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas and a wounded LSU team all in the same season.
I don’t care as much about the big name splash hires as I do the coaches who win with limited resources like Aranda and Napier.
Bum Phillips had the best definition of a good coach, someone who could take mine and beat yorn and then take yorn and beat mine.

Lane Kiffin has made every QB he has had look better than they are. Matt Corral is just another system QB

I think Kiffin does a good job developing qbs, but Corral is hardly a system qb. He’s the top rated gb in the 2022 NFL draft.

Lane Kiffin had a converted DB/RB set all a bunch of passing records at Bama. I think it's safe to say he has a lot to do with his QBs success.

This isn’t saying much, 22 draft class is dreadful. He definitely isn’t a “generational” type QB
