I'd love to watch a team of his if he did find a job in college.

Ha. Agents would hate him. Which sounds like a good idea.

I'd probably go with a 250k-500k base +$X/win. Buyout if fired matches highest yearly payout to that point, health ins for family for a year to find another gig, a higher buyout if a school comes sniffing around, but have a goal that kicks in a preneogiated amount for him and his staff. Need something to have as a goal if you do more that expected. Maybe a profit share bonus of some sort as incentive.

it's getting out of control no doubt. I know they do a lot, and have a hard job. Still crazy.

there are more programs capable of greatness than there are coaches who can deliver it. as such there will always be a premium for their services as long as an administrator thinks you might be the savior.

He is a high school coach. 3 wins would probably double his salary.

Agents charge 6%?

Idk how big his school is but 6 figures for a HS coach seems wild
