It was already a safe bet that Mike Pettine was going to be fired after this season, but after last night, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he doesn't make it through the season. This guy is a dead man walking. So the question becomes, who will be the Browns next head coach? Haslam has to land a good coach. No more rookie head coaches. Get an established coach that brings some credibility.

Bill Cowher - Have to start here. Pay him whatever he wants. He played for the Browns and started his coaching with the Browns.

Nick Saban - Spent a lot of time in NE Ohio including coaching for the Browns under Belicheck.

Jon Gruden - Ohio guy that has won a Superbowl.

Jim Tressel - NE Ohio guy that understand the Cleveland Browns history.

I think you start with these guys and then work from there.

It doesn't matter who they hire, Cleveland is always going to stink.

I have found a hole in your logic

1) Ohio Guy

2) Ohio Guy

3)Ohio Guy

4) Ohio Guy

The Browns owner and GM both suck donkey balls. They fired Chud after one season. No one worth their salt would ever go there. Hell Petine has only been here 2 years and his QB choices ar McBroke and Manzdrunk. The Browns need to clean out the front office pronto.

You left tom Osborn off your list.

Damn, fanbases are delusional. None of those coaches are going there. You'd be lucky to get Chip Kelly, Jack Del Rio or Dennis Allen at this point.

Is the an age requirement of 65 to coach the Browns for you?

None of those guys have shown any interest in wanting to coach in the NFL at this point in their careers.

Neither Cowher nor Gruden have coached this decade. They're done. People really need to get over it.

I wouldn't rule out Chip.....remember how bad Haslam wanted him and there were even RapSheet reports that it was 99% done before it fell through.
