I am not a huge fan of the hire but I'm also not a Herman fan. So the guy won a few games at u of h. So did Sumlin. I wanted a proven guy like Jimbo.

whatever, so according to mr. Look at me, I forgot to put on pants... A guy with 30 years in coaching, on two staffs with decade long great teams, Miami and USC. Can't know football because he has a Cajun accent. Clay thinks that LSU is a bunch of dumb coonasses who need to just sign over the farm to one of the smart out-of-town'ers.

LSU currently has the highest budget for assistant coaches, and with Coach Oeaux's plan are about to put some serious distance between us and number 2. Hummm, I'll bet that plan looks good in a binder, with some statistics about winning and investing. I like the blueprint, i think it's innovative...

But what do I know, I speak with a Louisiana accent.

Is this guy being serious? That is an ignorant, immature rant. I honestly can't tell if that was supposed to be funny. But it's not.

This is classic meaningless criticism. Offer no insight whatsoever other than pointing to his record at Ole Miss (while ignoring his success at USC and LSU). Say awful things about the guy. If things go badly, you say "I told you so." If things go well, you credit his success to his coordinators and say you predicted that outcome as well (but stand by your hateful criticism and insist that we're winning in spite of the coach).

O was not my first choice, but that is not the way a professional should conduct himself.

His level of interim success at LSU and USC would have gotten him fired as a head coach. You can't lose your games against your real opponents and keep your job as a head coach at a real school.

So, I take it you think Harbaugh should be fired?

I assume you think Les Miles needed to be fired. The purpose of firing him was to upgrade.

RE: Orgeron? Between USC and LSU Orgeron has won 1 game (Stanford) and lost 4 games (UCLA, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida) against good teams. That is worse than Les Miles and a similar level of performance would get Harbaugh fired eventually - just like it did Lloyd Carr.

Perhaps Orgeron doesnt possess the skill set to pull.this off, personally (maybe we DO in fact have it, on staff?); never-the-less, he is certainly the only candidate for the job talking about the sort of organizational changes that will square us up with bama (other than Jimbo, who isnt worth the additional capital; god knows what Herman is talking about...). This alone makes him worth a roll of the dice. Can he do it? Who the frick knows? God speed, sir!
