The interest in Ferentz was real, but no offer. Les to Michigan is pretty much a done deal. They are going to have to shell out some cash, but they should get him.

We need to get a GOOD coach that does not want to go to the NFL and sees LSU as a place to build a dynasty. Does such a coach exist?

There was interest in Ferentz from UM....Ferentz put an end to it...he was in New England practice and told Tom Brady he wasn't going to take it.

Miles is Michigan's top choice...it's not a done deal but it's getting there..he has a lot of support..and folks would be surprised if he wasn't hired.

Thinks UM and Les will meet Tuesday, UM has to make a competitive offer especially money for assistants....nothing against LSU, Les just wants to go home.

So if Bo and Les are out of town by the bowl game, who the hell will coach the team?

Rocket--

Since it looks more like Les is leaving everyday, who do you think could legitimatly be the top 2 or 3 choices to replace him?

I think once you see how many coaches line up for the LSU job we will see which is perceived to be the top opening in the country.

Michigan is known to go cheap when it comes to comp for the assistance. So it's possible that guys like Lane, Crowton, Moffit stay if they want to and if the new guy coming in wants them especially if Crowton gets the job. If not I hope everything is done to keep Lane and Moffit. If you have a scenerio where you have guys like Lane and the addition of Coach O recruiting with O DC, its a pretty tough combo to beat recruiting wise.

They weren't exactly busting the doors down when Saban left.

Spurrier has disaster written all over him. Maybe not in year one or two. But hireing him will be a HUGE mistake

I don't think Moffit will ever leave LSU as long as they want him to stay. He is the best in the business in my opinion and he loves LSU.

Moffit will not leave LSU. He can do what ever he wants ,when ever he wants to do it. He didnt go to the league with Saban, and he didnt go to that crimson school with him either. HE IS Staying

Yeah, I do and I'll post them one more time:

--He's lazy and doesn't recruit which will lead to Saban taking advantage on LA
--He lost to Vandy
--He hasn't improved SC much if at all from when he got there
--he'd waste the RB talent
--he hasn't won ANYTHING in 6 or 7 years
--he's older than Alan Greenspan
--and I believe there are a few good RB's in LA next year. You think they are gonna come with two Juniors and a soph in front of them with Spurrier as coach

Think long term, it's not about winning once and bowing out. It's aboutr maintaining the momentum that LSU has. The OBC WILL NOT do that. period
