They had talent in the trenches too.

Listen, you don't win 3 straight conference titles and a rose bowl without talent. They had very good players.

Exactly. We were PAC 12 rushing champs for like 12 straight years.

He's just making shite up. Clearly hasn't bothered looking at recruiting rankings or Oregon's depth chart. I read some dumb shite on this site but to say 2011 Oregon had no talent is really taking it up another level of stupid

That LSU defense was one of the best ever.

Correct, and LSU off season training was specifically designed around playing Oregon. Strength coach went out of character and had our DL slim up and get faster.

Weems and Cody started with Fisher rotating a ton.

Fisher - 3 star
Stevens - 4 star
Cody - 3 star
York - 3 star
Weems - 4 star

So, 2 4 star players on the Oline.

Thank you for not allowing the "Oregon does not have good talent" narrative to be accepted. It get said and repeated for those that want it to be true. When in fact their talent under Kelly was on par with the top half of the SEC. Everone in the nation is a couple steps below Alabama.

Noone said they didnt have talent, we said compared to LSU --who puts how many players in the NFL?- they dont hold a candle to them especially in the trenches where it matters. You can have all of the 4-5 star rbs you want, if you cant block it doenst matter

Fisher was a 4 star by one of the sites and so was Cody. Point is that they weren’t diamond in the rough. Fisher tripped to Florida and Michigan if I remember right.

Also, Mark Aper and Grasu were ubderrrated and we’re drafted. It was a good mix of talent and evaluation.

It's been said by more here than can count that Kelly won with 2 and 3 start talent when he was at Oregon, was never specific to OL or just LSU until the last few posts. And by the way, if we want to be specific to LSU and their OL, go check out how many LSU OL are in the NFL right now.

You and another poster said their team was made up of 2 and 3 star players

Now you're moving the goalposts

You were wrong, and that's fine. But you sound like an idiot when you say the eventual rose bowl winners with back to back #12 recruiting classes didn't have talent

Why not check LSU's DL? isnt that who Oregon's OL had to face?

Chip Kelly would do well at Florida. Leave it at that.

Keep moving goalposts

You agreed that Oregon had no talent and was playing with 2 and 3 stars

In reality, they had 19 four stars across 2 recruiting classes

You were wrong, plain and simple

I live in LA, watched the game. Oregon was mauled by LSU in all phases of the game. LSU had superior players all over the field.

Name the groups -OL/DL ect- where Oregon had better players than LSU
