Just listened to Chip on Austin radio. He was told by two of the very top Texas admin that Mack was gone.
It's a done deal.
Feel bad for the nice old man, but 2 conf champs in how many years does not get it done. Should have never called his shot on 2013 nat champ year.
He did however get 75 mill for Coaching subpar football, so don't feel to bad for him.

I think this is how most of us feel. The posters who post that Saban is "gone" as an absolute just look desperate to see him leave. We need to worry about us and stop obsessing over Saban so much.

It looks like he's being forced out and being afforded the opportunity to leave on his own rather than kicked out. Unfortunately I think Mack may think he can save his job, but with Powers likely on his way out, and his small buyout (by UT standards), Mack is done.
