My surgeon promised me that I could "take the first cut" on his next appendectomy ... I suited up, washed my hands, sterilized, grasped the scalpel, and was getting ready to make the incision (after all, I HAD slept in a Holiday Inn Express the night before) and my surgeon stopped me. Prick.

Absolutely brilliant analogy. Cause performing surgery is EXACTLY the same as calling one play in a college football game.

Bo Pelini is a hot head and an embarrassment to Nebraska. I do not want him at LSU.

I couldn't agree more. Chicken WTF? So what do you think about Francionne. I read that he just signed a relatively long term deal with Texas St. You think we got a shot?

Thankfully, you didn't have some b**ch there poised to write a feel good story about it. Otherwise your doctor would have been crucified out of spite regardless of how you felt about the "slight."

Riiiiiight.... because we ALL know that college football is simply a game and doesn't occupy our every waking thought leading us to spend 18 hours a day monitoring the situation on an internet fan forum ...

You're right. What was I thinking. College football games save the lives of dying people.

My bad.

The buy out at TSU might be too much.

elini? That's your idea of a sanity check?

This.

Pelini has already had about three mental meltdowns on the sideline.

Accosted the refs twice and his own qb once.

Board appears to be in initial meltdown stages. Phil Fulmer?

Even before the Internets, nothing was more entertaining in Baton Rouge than listening to idiots call in to give their moronic ideas for who the next coach should be.

Back before Saban was hired, it was easier to excuse LSU fans since we were so desperate to get back to a consistent winner.

Or do you enjoy seeing folks spiraling out of control? (it IS a little entertaining...)

But yeah, it's highly friggin entertaining.

gotta go ... gonna go read the "Doctor Rant" board where 800 guys are debating the pro's and con's of Obama health care and the intricacies of gall bladder surgery

bottom line , if the sailor had called a play and it led to a turnover, fans like you would be criticizing the head coach for allowing it in the first place.

bottom line, it's really a stupid criticism of Pelini and way overblown.

Certainly, his sideline demeanor is a legit consideration. I have no problem w/ it. Saban hit a player for Chrissakes but that's apparently OK. Pelini yells at Big 12 refs jobbing his team and he's a hothead. Maybe we could use a hothead around here. This is football, not ballet dancing.

You're wrong, and you don't know me.

Criticism of character is valid to most fans. Of course, to fans like you, character means nothing, but the majority of fans want a coach with character.

LSU doesn't need a piece of shite liar as a coach, who will make promises when the camera is rolling, the renege. He is a liar, plain and simple. He will say anything to anyone, including recruits, with no intention of following through. Let him stay in Nebraska.

Here's the guy we need to replace Miles: Gary Pinkel

Pelini? The second coming of Dinardo without the grease.

I agree with everything except Pelini. Pelini doesn't have to right mentality to maintain a program long term.
