I'm kinda indifferent on Chavis. He's done a good job on coaching solid fundamentals, but he's too conservative.

If it's a package deal with with the OC and DC, then I'll be glad to help them both pack.

Wouldn't this be just like gonzo coming to us? I don't see the advantage to doing this.

The only real reason would be revenge on Tenn.

If we need a DC I hear that Wade Phillips may need a paycheck.

Even if he were to leave, Miles would replace him with someone who runs the same kind of soft defense. So who cares one way or another.

What does that have to do with the credibility of his reporting?

Seems like Chavis is a little homesick away from his family/grandkids and wants to be closer. Dont knock the posts guys it does have a lot of merit to it and he has talked behind the scenes about it over a week ago with people in Georgia.

I saw a report of someone being talked to by Jimbo Fisher, this report was false. There are more false reports than true at this time.

UGA has sent out a bunch of feelers, many have passed. Like I said, this might tell you something.

Many schools will interview a coach, its better for the school to pass on someone than the coach passing. Many coaches pass on a school, in turn the school will report that they were the one to pass on a coach.

Wasn't Donnan the one who first broke the Chavis to LSU story last year? I do remember he mentioned Chavis's name before Peveto and Mallory were officially fired.

Realize we have had 4 DC's in the past 3 years...
5 DC's in 4 years would have to set a new record...

I heard from someone close to the Tenn program that he was wanting back in a few weeks ago. I laughed at the time but who knows.

What part of the Atlanta are you in?

I'm at the corner of Peachtree Avenue and Peachtree Boulevard. And EVERYBODY ... random people on the street, bartenders, cabbies, cops, etc. are saying that Chavis definitely is not pleased in Baton Rouge and wants to come to Georgia.

Why? Why wouldn't he be pleased with the LSU job? I would think it pays well, and LSU's recruiting is great as well.
