Why He’s A Good Fit: Over the past two seasons OSU has featured a bend (and sometimes break) defense. That’s not Chavis’ style.

Knowing Chavis, no way he works for Urban Meyer.
About only place I could see him leaving would be somewhere closer to his family, maybe a Duke or UNC but to leave Miles for Meyer - that's not Chavis' personality at all.

This. His family is here and he's not going to leave LSU for anywhere but the E. TN/NC area and even then I don't think he'd leave LSU - he's not a guy that likes moving from job to job. He might ease into a retirement closer to home someday or move if Miles got fired but Chavis is like the entire Fulmer crew: LOYAL to a fault. His entire family is good people, btw.

And FWIW, Chavis wouldn't consider a guy like Meyer even if he were at Duke or UNC.

Word is we're replacing Fickell. Chavis is first on the list and we can offer 1.2 million or so..

You're not going to offer significantly more than LSU can.

So, you're going to offer a $100,000 less than, what he's suppose to make this year.

OSU forums and sites are rarely known to be breeding grounds for rational discussion or realistic expectations.

You don't get it do you? Your coach is a piece of shite and Chavis wouldn't be caught dead working for the guy.

Who starts these unfounded rumors? This sounds like a false rumor started by someone with something to gain by having a rumor floating out there.
