He's the president of the entire LSU System, not just the chancellor of the BR campus. He's the big dog.

It’s Woodward’s decision and he needs approval from the BOS. Tate can be In the loop, but in no way does he have veto power over the BOS. I would assume Woodward gets the okay from the BOS and moves on his hire.

This board really overestimates how much power Tate has and underestimates how much he is actually a typical politician who won’t make bold decisions unless he has a lot of cover.
