My opinion. I think that he is contemplating it, but that he will stay and coach at LSU for years to come (after a large pay raise)

I think he is contemplating it as well, but I don't think he leaves LSU. Making this decision will mean he will be at LSU until he retires because the Michigan job does not become available very often.

That would make little sense to most. A coach's dream is to win the MNC.

True, but i think his heart is with Big Blue adn this will be his only opportunity. In this era of dog eat dog mentality, it would be very refreshing to see Mich wait until LSU's run for the MNC has ended with a loss or the actual game.

Calm down, a-hole. Why don't you wait a little while before you get pissed at Miles. So far all he's done is graduate from and coach at Michigan, and done well enough at LSU to be attractive. He's done absolutely nothing wrong.

What do you mean loss? LSU is going to finish 13-1, SEC and National Champs.

If we make it to the MNC...but I don't think they'll wait.

Has not anyone on here mentioned the fact the Michigan cannot even discuss the job with Miles nor make him an offer until after the bowl game or NC Game.

CFN doesn't think Miles will go to UM.

Is that a fact? Is that a NCAA rule or what?

I just don't see him not getting an offer. To my knowledge, they have no legit/logical reason to not even extend him an offer. Maybe they do if they have to wait until after that bowl game.

And if they don't offer him, whoever they hire must be damn good and have serious success. If they don't offer him, I'd think it has to do with Carr supposedly not liking Les and/or the other way around.

ROCKET
Are you kidding me???? Jon Gruden????
Here in Florida, there are plenty of people that wish he would leave the Bucs.

His bother jay has had better success with the Predators.

Keep looking.

Bo P would be a great choice if Miles listens to Mama.

No, not really. That'd be like a MLB coach going to go coach college baseball.

I've liked Miles since they day he arrived at LSU and I think there is a chance he stays but only very small chance. Most likely he will go and I can't blame him. UM offers what LSU can't, his personal history which means alot.

Imagine if Alan Faneca finished up his pro career and started coaching. He works his way up through D-III into D-I schools and finally gets a break at someplace like Texas. Say he starts winning and 3 years later the LSU job opens. Do you think AF would stay in Austin?

Could LSU give permission to UM to talk w/ Miles?

After reading this, a thought crossed my mind. What if Miles wants the Michigan job, but for various reasons he doesn't get the offer? How happy do you think he'll be at LSU then?

Is Carr gonna coach their bowl game? He may hold things down until Les can get up there.

I really wish there was some kind of NCAA rule restricting universities from commenting on in the media, or contacting, whether directly or indirectly, coaches during their season or post season play. What a distraction for this team to have to endure. Not only do we have a short week to prepare for Arkansas, and keeping the players focused on the next game on the schedule rather than looking ahead to the SECCG or worse, a possible NC game, but now we have this shite to contend with. It's ridiculous, and extremely unfair to LSU at this point in time. With all that is on the line for LSU right now, I sure hope that people do the right thing by LSU and focus on the task at hand, keeping LSU foremost in their minds rather than that damn team in AA Michigan, who has jack to lose right now in their season, and who quite honestly, I couldn't give a rats arse about right now.
