I think he's holding out for a big job with a decent qb.
I think Kyle Shanahan may be more realistic. His dad casts a pretty bug shadow in the nfl. Maybe he'd jump t an elite college job to have some head coaching success.

Shanahan is gonna get a NFL HC job either in 2017 or 2018. McDaniels will too. They'll both be really high on GMs wish lists.

Now that would be an interesting scenario. LSU passed on the father circa 1987 only to turn around and hire the son in 2016.
