Tony Stark? That would be a game changer. Iron clad hire right there.

He could lead LSU on our tour of vengeance. Like a Avenger tour

Why would Canada negotiate? If they fire him he gets it all. If they had a way to fire for cause, it would have already been done.

He may take as much as he can up front so he does not have to worry about an offset if and when he gets a new job.

here is no way they can justify firing Canada with cause
LSU has some serious leverage if Canada told recruit parents what the rumor is.

Alleva is fully entrenched behind O.

Right, and this makes me think that those saying Freeze and Briles are bridges too far, are not correct.

They better get a top flight OC otherwise they are toast - from both a PR perspective and winning on the field.

I feel there's been alot of smoke and mirrors. I know lsu would owe Canada 3 million if he is fired, but if the work environment was that bad why keep him around?

no, as i understand it, he had a 3 million dollar contract for 3 years, thats 1 million a year, he completed a full year of that contract by coaching the bowl game and now has 2 years for 2 million remaining on the contract. i dont think he gets it all or there would be nothing to "negotiate" about but only time will tell.

my guess is he gets a little over 1 million and they both walk away clean and clear

It was $1.5 mil per year. He has $3 mil left.

I have no sauces but The Hayride has an article with some quotes from Mike Detellier from a WWL interview. I think we agree he's tight with Coach O and here's an exerpt

Not knocking you, but Detillier is O's personal Log Licker and I wouldn't doubt is spinning news to pave the way for O to get rid of Canada because it's apparent now that he was forced to hire him as a condition of his employment as head coach. In the past Detillier was somewhat reliable , now his reputation will be stained with O juices forever.
