Tennessee has essentially rendered themselves so toxic that they're flailing around, grasping for the first guy they can find who can be passed off as a coach.

Same reason people think Kevin Mawae should be a coach here or Johnny Jones or Kevin Faulk. They think if you played there you must be able to coach there too. People are stupid.

I'm getting quite the opposite impression. They seem to be going after everybody BUT Tee Martin. It's almost like they want to exhaust every possible option, good or bad, before throwing up their hands and giving him the gig.
