And you tell that motherfricker do you want to make $1.5MM a year coaching phenomenal athletes or $100k in the abyss hanging with your boys. Come on man get your head out your arse. If that doesn't work then our program, O and Alleva are just toxic. I mean when the guy you first offer that's on your current staff even says no that's bad.

Neither program last night ran a "Gilbert" offense.

It truly isn't necessary.

I dislike the fact that LSU is taking a "risk" at both HC and OC at the same time. But, I find the melt to be silliness.

I'll take either UGA or BAMA offenses. LSU will need (as always) to get some QBs that can be as good as those programs have. THAT is the "worst" part as it may take a bit of time to convince that level of QB to trust LSU's offense.

I am in the "wait until I am actually injured before I cry out in pain" group. I'll be interested to see how Ensminger does. I have hope. That does NOT mean "confidence".

Actually you're wrong he is making $100k. Look it up. Pathetic we can't pull him. The entire USF budget is $1.6MM for all coaches but Strong.

Is it possible that the 100K is just because he was let go from Texas (and took the discount as he was, perhaps, paid a buyout from UT)?

Example: Say he was paid 850K from UT with the standard clause of 'payout reduced by amount of salary at next job'. So, he accepts 100k and UT pays the other 750k

I have no idea if that is the case. I am only wondering aloud. Your link says "all the coaches that came from UT" are the lowest paid. That seems to back up the theory.

you have to look back further to his time at Texas and structure of buyout. USF effectively used Texas to subsidize salary with the offset clause. They just paid them all low salaries. Literally UT paying a good portion of the USF staff salary expense. He was paid 850 at Texas.

yes, that's what happened. it was all over the news in austin when the story broke. pretty shrewd move how they cut that deal. USF took the whole staff from texas and UT paid the bill.

That's virtually every coach's situation. Always getting paid by former employer. Doesn't change the fact that his current employer is paying him $100k. We'd have to pay whatever his buyout is too.

You're right. Was just making it clear that he is paid 850, in combination. He's not a bargain. Doesn't matter anyway apparently.

Not wrong he is making 750,000 a year from the Texas buyout so 750,000 plus 100,000 comes to 850,000 a year in taxable income pretty simple surely you really didn't think he only made 100000 a year lol

If Gilbert said he wasn't coming because he couldn't bring his whole staff then thats the same evil as O hiring his buddies. So either you want that in the program or you don't. Which is it?
