So going 6-6 with Kansas' talent would be quite the achievement, correct?

Their talent has won them 6 games in 4 seasons.

OK, We can play your game. Miles is the best mind in college football today. LSU would still be winning 3 or 4 games a year like the last couple years under Gerry D, If not for Miles brillance. Miles ability to game plan, scheme, and attack weakness is unmatched. Miles recruiting the whole country because of Louisiana lack of talent and competition from in-state schools is the only reason LSU thrived under Miles rein. Miles coaching prowess is unparalleled.

Such a coach, YOUR COACH! Should never go anywhere and only be able to obtain an average record at best.

I don't want to hear any BS about Kanasa record. In 07 they were 12-1 and in 08 they were 8-5. It has been proven, it can be done.

Now, all we have to do is sit back and watch Miles the football Genius build Kanasa into a dominant program. Just like he did at LSU.

THIS is what goes on in your head? No one in this thread has said anything like this. LMAO. As I read this thread, I see people saying Les Miles is a good recruiter and has hired good recruiters. I see people saying that he will likely get KU to 6 or 7 wins a year and for KU that will be "lights-out" and it will be.

Good Lord.

Let me be more specific, Miles could coach there 20 years his record would be .500 at best.

I’m not a Kansas football historian but that would probably be close to the best 20 years they have ever had.

So you pick 2 years from the past decade and think that’s the standard? Is that how dumb some of the anti miles people have gotten?

am evaluating Miles on his Xs and Os, game management (clock management), and adjustments during the game. On these points, he is very average.

Average enough to give LSU the best decade in its history

That is only for the people who believe Miles is such a great coach.

I think he will be fired before his 1st contract is up.

But you people can't have it both ways. You say he is the greatest coach ever at LSU. Now he needs to take that greatness and compete at Kansas.

I'm not even talking about winning titles, but don't try to pull this crap about Miles is great if he only wins 6 games.

To me it has nothing to do with Miles and everything to do with Kansas. ANY coach who can consistently win at Kansas (above .500) is doing an amazing job. I dont care if it's Nick Saban

If Miles wins 6 games next year it will be one of the more impressive turnarounds in recent memory. Kansas hasn’t won 6 games in the last 3 years combined.

Chip Lindsay had the honor of being Gus Bus' fall guy. I think he will be fine.

Don't know much about Eliot but hes from OK and has bounced around a few schools in TX/midwest...could be for recruiting purposes? not like defense is actually played in that league.

I don't disagree. 7 or 8 wins on a regular basis. But I don't see Miles doing that.

For year 1 I would agree. But over the next 4 years of his contract, he would have to improve on that to be considered an upper-level coach.

It’s going to depend on year 1.... if he can win some games and generate some excitement, then he has a chance to get it going

Calling it as I see it. The good thing is we shall find out now that Miles has another job.

Don't like my opinion, I really don't care. I will be right in the end.

Record-wise, I can't dispute that. But he also wasted the most talent in a decade at LSU.

I agree. To drill down on that year 1 success, he won't have all those skill guys to pick from in Kansas as he did in Louisiana, and he has to fight with K State over players.
