Great hire for Purdue, but saying they are on the same level as Arky is laughable. Arky is a top 20-25 program. Purdue is like top 50 tbh.

Purdue is closer to Iowa State or Kentucky in program stature than Arkansas. The Hogs actually have a decent history.

As a Tech fan, I've always been impressed with this guy. His teams are continually well-coached and his schemes are impressive. I'm surprised more schools haven't taken a more serious notice of him.

I'll be glad he's leaving WKU for sure!

I'm excited. Any of our good teams have had explosive offenses.

There's definitely a ceiling for us, but he's walking into the least competitive division of P5 football, his year in and year out opponents (so not PSU, Michigan and OSU) don't recruit that well. We'll at least have an identity again (high powered offense) and get some good recruits on that side of the ball too

He's a class act and has won wherever he's been.

Baylor is a cesspool with an uncertain P5 future, sanctions potentially looming, sum against admins still there....why would a coach want to go there?

Recruits sure as hell don't!

Previous to 2008, Baylor wasn't shite. They are just sliding back to their rightful place after selling their souls to be good!

Minnesota is light years ahead of a Purdue as a football program, and you would think is much more appealing to recruits given the location and Minny's new facilities.

Eh, Purdue probably has better access to talent. It's close to Michigan, ChicagoLand, and Ohio - while those three areas aren't quite what they used to be recruiting-wise, they're still good enough and deep enough that a competent program can pick off plenty of guys that don't go to OSU, UM, and ND and field a good team. Minnesota is fricking far from basically anywhere that consistently produces quality high school football talent.

Purdue was doing that fifteen years ago. Not so much any more. They've got history and money enough to make it a solid program again. I'm curious to see how Brohm will do there.

It wasn't until today that I realized Jeff Brohm is not Brian Brohm.

Still don't know why LSU didn't talk to this guy or look at him more seriously.

You know why. Alleva eats paint chips.
