Possibly. But he could also break the cycle considering the amount of money LSU is willing to pony up for a coordinator. He might have used that money in other places previously, because he knew he could lean on himself. Here, that's not necessary.

Best for the situation doesn't necessarily mean biggest name and definitely doesn't mean fan favorite.

I'm sure that he could have also. However, given his track record of success, Kelly seems to have done rather well with his approach.

Intelligent assessment. As long as he remains the teacher and guides his OC and not run off with the blondes (although he seems to have the tools for it) as his predecessor did.
