No argument from me and we'll never know for sure, but you've seen how a large subset of this board reacted to his name because he coaches at Lafayette. A similar level of that sentiment in TAF is all it would take to make it a non viable hire, and I personally don't think that's terribly unlikely.
I will say, if we end up with Mark Stoops, Bill O Brien, or some coordinator like Elko purely because LSU was too good to hire USL's coach, we 100% deserve the pain such a hire will likely bring.
